The scale is showing a 3-digit error code, what do I do?
If any problems persist, please contact support@acaia.co for further assistance.
101 | EEPROM error, covered by warranty |
102 | AD read error |
brackets (top)* | Overload: the weight is over the maximum capacity. |
brackets (bottom)** | Under load: the weight is under the minimum capacity. |
300 | Malfunctioning Bluetooth error. Scale's Bluetooth module has stopped working. |
303 | 303 Unable to make zero point, because the initial weight exceeds the limit (50% of capacity). Typically happens when a scale has weighed over its capacity of 2000 g. |
304 | Weight calibration error |
802 | Unable to tare, because the weight exceeds the tare range. Typically happens when a scale has weighed over its capacity of 2000 g. |
803 | Unable to tare/calibrate, for the weight is unstable. Try to tare/calibrate scale on a more stable surface. |
904 | Password error (the password to enter the settings is 0000) |

802 Error Code
Errors 802 and 303 are an indication your scale’s load cell has experienced a weight beyond the scale’s capacity of 500 grams (Pyxis or Cinco), 2000 g (Lunar, Pearl 2021, Original Pearl), or 3000 g (Pearl Model S and Pearl Model S 2022). A physical shock such as a portafilter or tamper dropping on the scale, or damage from dropping the scale may cause this overload. It can take weighing an object over the scale's capacity just once to damage the load sensor.
You can return the scale to a functioning condition by performing a linear calibration, with the caveat that the upper reaches of the weighing range (1500 g - 2000 g) might be inaccurate, depending on the damage experienced. To do this, you will need three 500 g F2-class calibration weights. You can find these at in our online store here
Please contact support@acaia.co for instructions on how to perform a linear calibration or to have your scale serviced.
What to do when I see ERR303?
Error 303 (and sometimes error 802) is an indication your scale’s load cell has experienced a weight beyond the scale’s capacity of 500 grams (Pyxis or Cinco), 2000 g (Lunar, Pearl 2021, Original Pearl), or 3000 g (Pearl Model S and Pearl Model S 2022). To do this, you will need three 500 g F2-class calibration weights. You can find these in our online store here.
If you are unable to perform a linear calibration, or a linear calibration does not correct the issue, please contact support@acaia.co to have your scale serviced.
