Infotip
Check our Where to Buy page for our approved distributors. If we do not have a partner in the country, please contact our team directly for further information at support@acaia.co.
Purchases sent outside the United States may be assessed local taxes, duties, etc. upon arrival. The shipping firm that delivers the package may likewise impose additional brokerage fees or other surcharges as part of the customs and tax process. Recipients are responsible for payment of all fees, taxes, and duties related to shipment(s) to destinations outside of the United States. If a shipment is lost, abandoned or you refuse a shipment due to the local taxes or duties not being paid, Acaia will not issue you a refund for your order. Orders can be delayed due to verification or time of the order being placed.
European Store and Value Added Tax (VAT)
Starting from 1 July 2021, our European webshop will charge Value Added Tax separately. This change is in accordance with the latest EU regulations. The 27 member states are free to set their own standard VAT rates above the minimum of 15%. To see a comprehensive and up-to-date list of all of these taxes according to country, please see this guide here.
This means that VAT is excluded from the price on the product and cart page and is then charged based on the destination country during checkout. If you have any questions, please contact us directly at support@acaia.co

Customs Charges
If the customer's country or region charges fees (e.g. import tariff, value-added tax, customs handling fees, etc.), the customer will have to bear the charge(s). The actual value of the parcel will be reported on the customs documents, and the fees will be collected by the Post Office or courier service provider of the customer's country or region.
In case the delivery of an order is delayed due to customs, we bear no responsibility. We do not issue any proof of export documents, such as proof of country of origin, or export visas.

US Shop Pay Installments
In July 2021, we added a new payment option to our Acaia US webshop: Shop Pay Installments. This option allows most US customers to check out and choose to pay in four equal installments, rather than in a one-off payment. There are no fees, no interest, and no late charges for customers that are approved to use this service.
This payment option is available for orders between 50 and 1000 US dollars and for those using a debit or credit card. However, it can not be used to purchase gift cards. This ability is provided and approved by Shop Pay and Affirm.
